I know a refugee family living here; they moved in in spring 2022, and it has been such a relief to have the new management (Reicke was who I worked with) on board. He was able to assist me quickly and politely when the family I help was having issues, which is night-and-day from the prior employees, and it was evident to me that he truly wants things to be *right*, not done reluctantly. I have only been inside my friends' unit, but I noticed maintenance actively being done around the building, and as other commenters have noted, there is obvious care being put into the outside -- seating and gates.

Today I went in with a friend who has a disability and is currently moving to Iowa from Florida. Reike and Tim were extremely polite and very resourceful. The apartments looks amazing also handicap accessible and allowed my friend to move around easily. I can tell all of the hard work they are putting in. What amazed me was the time they put into their community and how exited they were to be making a change. Highly recommended and can’t wait to see all of the new things happening over at the Hickman Flats

Did a visit tour for my brother on disability and I am his conservator. The management must love what they do. Tim's personality shines as he shows the community and Ryke loved making personal introductions to staff and other residents as they came into the business center. It truly is night and day and fun to see what improvements management has made each visit. Kudos to the owner for hiring the right management to impressively improve this property. I don’t know how this place use to be however, the 2 new managers at this place are phenomenal. The building is being remodeled is all I can say the least. I was given the grand tour around the complex and noticed that management knows just about everyone by name. The new management is doing this complex some good! They actually answer the phones!! XD The interior of the buildings are kept as clean as possible (residents and their children still throw trash in the halls, but no one can help that.) We were recently fumigated, and there were no bugs prior in MY experience. All problems left by previous management are being fixed! There are picnic tables, basketball goals, and community events!! Great new management team! I have only lived here for a few good months and the differences beteen the new management team from the old management team that I started out with are tremendous. They answer the phone, listen carefully to what you have to say, they are actually in the office working during the week. I have even seen them throughout the weekend tirelessly working around the clock on cleaning this place up. Tim always makes time to put together a plan to solve a problem within a short period of time. And if it is a bigger problem that needs an outside company he makes a point to check in on us and keeps us updated with whats going on. I definitely recommend you give them try.

I called yesterday 3.13.24 spoke with the manager and he assured me to just come see the new and exciting things happening. So I did. I was shown 1 efficiency in the second building in community and was a ground floor. 1 bedroom unit newly remodeled in back building, very spacious with LVP flooring even nicer The 2 bedroom unit is going to be great. I'm ignoring other comments because people just like to complain versus see the possibilities!
